An enjoyable novel that delves into the events leading up to the building incident in the third volume of "The Roar of the Abyss," and Detective Iyad returns to try and unravel the circumstances surrounding the disappearances and murders. Without any obvious spoilers from the cover suggesting the culprit is a vampire or a madman, it's a captivating fantasy story reminiscent of Dracula's fangs and his insatiable thirst for blood, no matter how much he drinks and kills.
